Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about how Next Level Performance Systems works, who we serve, and what to expect when you reach out.
Do I need to have pain to start a program?
No. Many patients come to Next Level Performance Systems specifically to improve performance, prevent injury, or increase their golf distance — not because they are in pain. If your movement or athletic output is not where you want it, that is a valid reason to reach out. Dr. McGovern will assess what is limiting you and build a plan from there.
Is this clinic covered by insurance?
Next Level Performance Systems is a cash-based practice. No insurance is accepted or filed on your behalf. Payment is due directly at the time of service, with installment options available. This model allows Dr. McGovern to spend the full session focused on your care — not on paperwork or billing constraints.
What is the difference between golf performance training and sports PT?
Sports physical therapy focuses on recovering from an injury and returning to full activity. Golf performance training is specifically built around the demands of the golf swing — improving mobility, rotational power, and consistency so you can play better and longer. Both are available here, and many patients benefit from elements of both.
What happens during the first visit?
Your first visit is a thorough movement and clinical assessment with Dr. McGovern. He will identify the root cause of your pain or performance limitation, explain what he found, and present a personalized plan. You leave with a clear picture of what is happening and a structured path forward — not a generic routine.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes. Telehealth is available for patients who are unable to come in person. Contact the clinic directly to discuss whether telehealth is the right fit for your specific situation and goals.
Still have questions?
Yes. Telehealth sessions are available for patients who cannot come in person. Reach out directly to discuss whether a remote session is the right fit for your situation, your goals, and where you are in your recovery or training.
